Alcohol Density Plan Meeting - Tomorrow, Jan. 28th, 4:00pm

Sorry for the short notice, but I wanted to let anyone who's interested know that the ALRC's (Alcohol License Review Committee) subcommittee on Downtown Alcohol Issues and Ordinances is meeting tomorrow at 4:00 in the City-County Building, Room 108 to discuss possible changes to the Alcohol Density Plan Ordinance (ALDO).

Given there were only a couple official ALRC members at this subcommittee's last meeting, I'm not sure how influential this meeting will be, but it should be interesting to hear discussion on possible ALDO changes proposed by the Central Business Improvement District (BID) Board like more flexibility in the alcohol-other revenue ratio, capacity increases, and longer license transfer periods.

Congratulations New Appointees!

I am proud to present Alexandra Sevett, Vickie DeMarco, and Katie Grimm as new Shared Governance Appointees.

Alex will be serving on the Center of Leadership and Involvement (CfLI) Director Search and Screen Committee. She is currently a Shared Governance appointee to the Committee on Academic Advising and she has experience working with CfLI.

Vickie and Katie will serve on the Search and Screen for a second Multicultural Student Center (MSC) Social Justice Education Specialist. Vickie and Katie have a varied experiences in hiring as well as working on multicultural and social justice issues.

Note: As Search and Screen committees require a great deal of confidentiality in the hiring process, it is unlikely that many updates will be posted from these committees.

The Associated Students of Madison Shared Governance Committee Blog serves as a space for shared governance appointees and the UW-Madison student body to communicate on issues relating to shared governance. As part of their responsibilities as student representatives, appointees will post a report following each meeting attended.
